Valentín Barrantes López
Valentín was granted a Translation and Interpreting degree in English and German by the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid in 1998. He did postgraduate studies in specialized translation at the University of Malaga and was officially recognized as a researcher. He was appointed as a sworn translator of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is one of Nóvalo's founder partners and is currently its Human Resources Manager in addition to co-managing the company's Business Development Area. He is a professional that specializes in technical translation and localization and has been working as a translator, proofreader and project manager for some of the industry's leading firms since 1998. Valentín has combined his professional activity with a concern for teaching, having taught subjects linked to technical translation and information technology applied to translation at the Alfonso X El Sabio University and at the European University of Madrid (2002-2005). He has also taken an active part as a guest and speaker at several translation and interpreting events.
Carlos Bolívar Girón
Carlos holds a Business Administration and Management degree from the University of Malaga (1999). He has also received training as a marketing and human resources officer, in addition to having collaborated in the development and management of several University of Malaga seminars on the Banking and Stock Exchange areas. He is one of Nóvalo's founder partners and is currently its Financial Manager apart from co-managing the company's Business Development Area. He previously developed his professional career managing companies in the telecommunications industry for four years. He was a Deputy Manager at Jazztel Telecommunications and a Sales Manager at Auna.
Sandra Lara Arjona
Sandra holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in English, French and Italian (1997). She was appointed as a sworn translator of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is a founder partner of Nóvalo and is presently its Production Manager. She is a professional that specializes in technical translation and localization and has been working as a translator, proofreader and project manager for some of the industry's leading firms since 1998. She has also worked as a specialized linguistic coordinator and trainer for different projects, such as Oracle. Sandra has focused on overseeing the Production Department and the integrated management of multilingual projects.
Benito Señorís Recamal
Expert in the coordination and implementation of workflow systems in the technical area, he has developed his professional career in various companies and multinational corporations within the localization industry. Since 1995 he works for localization and translation companies in roles such as computer and CAT specialist and project analyst. He joins Nóvalo as Technical Manager focused in optimising all computer and technical resources in the company in order to provide our customers with all the tools needed to successfully complete every project. In his profile a long career, a meticulous eye and a wide view of the industry might be highlighted.
Mónica Vega Pichaco
Mónica holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in English, German and Italian (1997). She was appointed as a sworn translator of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is a Project Manager at Nóvalo and has more than ten years’ experience in the field of translation and localization. During this time, she has done translation work and gained wide-ranging experience in localizing photography software, digital imaging software, marketing applications, antiviruses, websites and several kinds of communications systems. She has also simultaneously worked as a proofreader and editor in the final quality assurance process for online applications, compiled help environments, end-user software and websites of leading brands in their industries.
Antonio Montañez Castro
Antonio holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in English and German (2004). He rounded off his education with courses on technologies applied to translation. He has worked as translator and editor and developed quality control tasks within Nóvalo. He is a versatile and meticulous professional with remarkable organizative skills and production capacities. He is presently Project Manager at Nóvalo and has developed his professional career in the localization and technical translation environments.
Óscar Rivas Ortiz
Óscar holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in English and French (1996). He was appointed as a sworn translator of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is a professional that specializes in technical translation and localization, having gained significant experience in the field of videogames and product management for very demanding firms like Oracle, Autodesk and Microsoft. He has additionally worked as a translator, proofreader and project manager for some of the industry's leading companies since 1998. He is currently a Senior Translator/Editor at Nóvalo.
Daniel Ángel Rey
Daniel holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in French and English (2007). He was also granted a Master's degree in Translation, Cultural Mediation and Interpreting by the University of Málaga. He has developed specific skills in the legal and technical translation fields. He is presently a Junior Translator/Editor at Nóvalo.
Cristina Plaza Lara
Cristina holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the University of Malaga in English and German (2008). She was also granted a Master's degree in Translation, Cultural Mediation and Interpreting by the University of Málaga. She develops her professional skills in the new technologies applied to translation field. She is presently a Junior Translator at Nóvalo.
